Hemp Rope & Twine

Hemp rope was used on sailing ships from very early times. Phoenician traders, the most successful seafarers of the ancient world, sailed into the unknown in ships whose sails were controlled and secured by hemp rope.

Hemp jewelry is made by knotting hemp twine through the practice of macramé. Hemp jewelry can include bracelets, necklaces, anklets, rings, watches and other adornments. There are many different stitches used to create hemp jewelry, however, the half knot and full knot stitches are most common.
